Shanghai transcosmos Marketing Services Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shanghai, China; CEO: Eijiro Yamashita; transcosmos China), a wholly-owned subsidiary of transcosmos inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and COO: Masataka Okuda), launched customer services and technical support services for VAIO® branded PCs in the Chinese market in collaboration with Shanghai Jonen Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd. (Headquarters: Shanghai, China; General Manager: Huang Xinchu; VAIO’s sole agent in China)), a Chinese sole agent of VAIO Corporation (Headquarters: Nagano, Japan; President : Hidetoshi Yoshida) in August 2017. transcosmos China contributes to boosting VAIO customer experience with its high quality services.
The first Sony VAIO PC arrived in 1997. Since then, VAIO continues to enjoy a high reputation and is a PC brand loved by consumers for its stylish design, unique user experience and unparalleled performance. In 2014, Sony sold its personal computer business which was operated under “VAIO” brand to Japan Industrial Partners Inc. and subsequently, VAIO Corporation was established in July of the same year. After 3 years, in August 2017, VAIO returned to the Chinese market, selling its products on JD.com, a leading e-commerce platform in China. Along with this move, transcosmos China started to offer customer and technical support services for the brand. Its extensive services include customer inquiry support for product purchase, product repair/replacement/returns, technical support, peripheral equipment purchase, and media inquiry support.
Being recognized for its expertise in the contact center services sector and having a 12-year service record in the Chinese local market as a global BPO player, transcosmos was named VAIO’s partner for the brand to make inroads into the Chinese market for the second time.
